Advice on Foundation Insulation Cladding?

After carefully exploring the options online, I believe no one in the high performance building world has published a truly durable and beautiful solution for cladding exterior insulation on a foundation wall. Here's my particular conundrum, and my concept for a product that would solve the issue. Any heroes out there who can point me in the right direction?
